NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE, That pursuant to Sections 2.07 and 20.06 of the Rensselaer County Charter, a Public Hearing will be held in the chambers of the Rensselaer County Legislature at the County Office Building, 99 Troy Road, East Greenbush, New York on Thursday, March 26, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. regarding a Local Law to Update the Charter of Rensselaer County.  Copies of the Local Law are available online at the County Legislative Website or during normal business hours from the Office of the Clerk of the Legislature.

 

SPECIAL MEETING NOTICE, pursuant to Rule No. 1C of the Rules of the Rensselaer County Legislature and in accordance with the NYS Open Meeting Law, Section 104, a special meeting of the Rensselaer County Legislature will be held on: Thursday, March 26, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. 

 The purpose of this meeting is to act on legislation filed in accordance with Rule 16C of the Rules of the Rensselaer County, in the Legislative Chambers of the Rensselaer County Office Building, 99 Troy Road, East Greenbush, New York.

Special sessions may also be convened at the request of the Chairperson.

The agenda for a regular session is available on the Thursday preceding the meeting. Members of the public have the opportunity to speak on issues contained in the agenda for one-half hour prior to the opening of the meeting.

We also have a Public Forum night; this is a great opportunity for the Public to make comments to the full Legislative Body. It is held on the Wednesday of the week preceding our regular monthly meeting in Chambers beginning at 6:00 p.m.
