1921-1995

FAMILY HISTORY:
Kenneth M. Wilson was born on October 8, 1921 in Dobbs Ferry, New York. He was the son of the late Harold and Frances (Eschbach)Wilson, and the brother of Miriam, Dorothy, Gertrude, Harriet, Harold, and Peggy.

Kenneth grew up in Hudson, New York and later moved to the city of Rensselaer and attended the Van Rensselaer High School from 1938 to 1941.  Kenneth then settled down in East Greenbush, New York.

HISTORY:
In 1942, Kenneth enlisted in the United States Army and proudly served his country for three years achieving the rank of Corporal as a Heavy Machine Gunner, during which time he was stationed in Naples-Foggia, Rome-Arno, Southern France.  Kenneth throughout his time of service had earned the European-African-Middle Eastern Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Purple Heart with Oak Leaf Cluster.

PERSONAL:
Kenneth married his wife, Mary (Cornell) on October 8, 1949 in Rensselaer, New York. Together they had three children: Karen, Keith, Diane; four grandchildren: Gregory, Laura, Zachary, Alexandra.

WORK EXPERIENCE:
After his Honorable Discharge from the Army, Kenneth was employed by the United States Postal Service.

COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES/ORGANIZATIONS:
In his spare time, Kenneth enjoyed camping, gardening and reading.  Kenneth also took time to coach baseball and softball for East Greenbush Little League, East Greenbush Girls Softball League, and East Greenbush Babe Ruth.

Sadly, on November 30, 1995, Kenneth passed away and was laid to rest at New Rural Cemetery in East Greenbush, New York.

Special sessions may also be convened at the request of the Chairperson.

The agenda for a regular session is available on the Thursday preceding the meeting. Members of the public have the opportunity to speak on issues contained in the agenda for one-half hour prior to the opening of the meeting.

We also have a Public Forum night; this is a great opportunity for the Public to make comments to the full Legislative Body. It is held on the Wednesday of the week preceding our regular monthly meeting in Chambers beginning at 6:00 p.m.
