District Two – Towns of East Greenbush, North Greenbush, Poestenkill

Kelly was appointed to the Rensselaer County Legislature on February 12, 2013 and was most recently re-elected in November 2021.   Beginning in January 2022, Kelly was elected by her peers to serve as Chairwoman of the Legislature.  

Chairwoman Hoffman previously served in a leadership role as Vice Chair of the County Legislature from 2018 to 2021.  During her tenure as Legislator, Chairwoman Hoffman serves on the Rules and Budget and Finance Committees and has previously served as Chair of the Health Committee and Majority Representative on the Education Committee.

Kelly is known for her expertise in local, county and state government, as well as serving her community as Deputy Town Supervisor.  Her experience includes serving on zoning board of appeals, comprehensive plan development, highway and utilities, public safety, senior citizens committee, codes revision committee as well as serving children in her community as a former board of education member.

Kelly has years of experience in project management, real estate development and has gained invaluable public service experience by working as an aide to former New York State Assemblyman Neil W. Kelleher.  Kelly has been active in supporting youth sports and her family has been coaching softball for many years.  

Chairwoman Hoffman proudly represents District 2 which includes East Greenbush, North Greenbush and Poestenkill.
