District One – City of Troy

Mark was first elected to the Rensselaer County Legislature in 2009 to represent the City of Troy (District-1). Since then, he has been a constant presence on the legislature, after being re-elected four times.

In 2026 Mark was selected as Minority Leader, now serving on the Budget and Finance, and Rules and Legislative Operations committees.  His previous experience includes the Aging, Agriculture, Planning & Tourism, and Public Works Committees.

Mark is a lifelong Troy resident and retired Troy Fire Captain.  He is a dedicated and long-standing public servant. He is active in the community through volunteer work and non-profit board memberships.
