He was the son of Louis and Beatrice (Owen) Piche\, and the brother of the late Betty Reese\, Louis\, and John Piche. \nEDUCATION:\n Francis grew up in Troy\, New York and received his education through the Troy Public School System. \nHISTORY:\nIn 1944\, Francis enlisted in the United States Navy in Albany\, New York\, where her served aboard the USS Oklahoma City during World War II and received the Victory Medal\, American Theatre Medal\, Asiatic Pacific Medal\, 2 Stars\, and the Occupation SubAuthBupers. \nPERSONAL:\nFrancis married his wife\, Audrey (Dunson) on December 15\, 1946 in Troy\, New York. Together they had six children Francis\, Colleen\, Laurie\, Paul\, Diane and David; twenty-four grandchildren; and sixteen great-grandchildren. \nWORK EXPERIENCE:\nAfter his Honorable Discharge from the Navy\, Francis continued to support his family through his employment with Ford Motor Co. in Green Island\, New York\, where he worked as a floor inspector until his retirement in 1977. \nCOMMUNITY ACTIVITIES/ORGANIZATIONS:\nIn his spare time\, Francis was a communicant of St. Joseph’s church in Green Island and was a member of the Legnard-Curtin Post\, American Legion. \nSadly\, on March 2\, 2005\, Francis passed away and was laid to rest at St. Jean’s Cemetery in Troy\, New York.

DESCRIPTION:HONOR-A-DECEASED-VETERAN \nAugust 2024\nDonald Ernest Yetman\n1942-2020 \nFAMILY HISTORY:\nDonald Ernest Yetman was born on November 1\, 1942 in Brooklyn\, New York. He was the son of the late Walter B. and Gladys (Lawrence) Yetman\, and the brother of the late Francis and his identical twin\, David Yetman. \nEDUCATION:\n Donald grew up in Little Compton\, Rhode Island and received his education and graduated through the Our Lady of Victory Academy in Plattsburgh\, New York then proceeded to North Carolina University and Cornell University where he majored in Business. \nHISTORY:\nIn 1962\, Donald enlisted in the United States Army and proudly served his country for six years achieving the rank of Staff Sergeant\, during which time he was stationed in Korea\, Fort Benning\, Georgia\, Fort Bragg\, North Carolina and Fort Jackson\, South Carolina where he graduated from the Army Administration School. He would later serve for 23 years with the National Guard as a First Sergeant.  Within that time Donald received certification of having successfully completed the prescribed course of instruction for the Intelligence Analyst\, U.S. Army Recruiting Command Certificate of Achievement and in September 21\, 1989 received The State of New York Certificate of Service. \nPERSONAL:\nDonald married his wife\, Ann Ellen (Bernier) on September 17\, 1966 in Plattsburgh\, New York at the Our Lady of Victory Church. Together they had three children: Robert\, Aaron and Peter; three grandchildren: Ashlee\, Eli and Calvin and several great grandchildren. \nWORK EXPERIENCE:\nAfter his Honorable Discharge from the Army\, Donald was employed by the United States Postal Service and was appointed postmaster of the East Chatham Post Office\, Slingerlands Post Office and retired from the East Greenbush Post Office after 23 years and simultaneously retired from the National Guard after 23 years. In retirement\, Don enjoyed driving school bus for East Greenbush and Willsboro\, New York. \n  \nCOMMUNITY ACTIVITIES/ORGANIZATIONS:\nIn his spare time\, Donald enjoyed hunting\, reading\, watching football games\, attending his son’s auto racing and grandchildren’s sports events. \nSadly\, on May 2\, 2020\, Donald passed away and was laid to rest at Saratoga National Cemetery\, Schuylerville\, New York. \n

He was the son of Paul “Skip” and Doris (Baird) Felts\, and the brother of Paul. \nEDUCATION:\n John grew up on Second Avenue\, Rensselaer and received his education through the Rensselaer Public School System. \nHISTORY:\nJohn enlisted in the United States Navy in Rensselaer\, New York in 1965 during the Vietnam War and served on the U.S.S. Kitty Hawk.  He was honorably discharged and awarded the National Defense Service Medal\, Navy Unit Commendation with 1 Bronze Star\, Vietnam Service Medal with 6 Bronze Stars\, Presidential Unit Citation and the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal with Devise. \nPERSONAL:\nJohn married his wife\, Kash (Kathryn) on June 26\, 1999 in Wynantskill\, New York. Together they had five children: Larissa Anne\, Andrea\, Yolanda\, John and Jessica; eight grandchildren: Kamic\, Kase\, Mackenzie\, Allysa\, Zachary\, Kyler\, Connor and Sean Paul; and one great-grandchild: Noah. \nWORK EXPERIENCE:\nJohn was employed by New York State Office of General Services\, with his final years at the Department of Transportation at the Rensselaer shop\, retiring in 2008. \nCOMMUNITY ACTIVITIES/ORGANIZATIONS:\nIn his spare time\, John enjoyed spending time motorcycle riding\, traveling\, listening to music\, feeding and watching birds and woodland creatures\, big and small\, teasing\, teaching and helping nephews\, cousins and all those that he met and bartending at the Watervliet Ukrainian Cultural Center. \nSadly\, on September 16\, 2023\, John Passed Away. \n  \n

He served during the Vietnam War receiving the National Defense Service Medal; Vietnam Service Medal; Vietnam Campaign Medal; 2 O/S Bars; Sharpshooter Badge Rifle M16; Expert Badge Hand Grenade. \nPERSONAL:\nMichael married his wife\, Kathleen A. (Agostine) DeBonis on May 4\, 1973 in Troy\, New York. Together they had two children: The late Michael and Lindsay DeBonis; Brother-in-law to: Dominic Mancino\, Mary Finelli\, Fran Agostine and Jean Holmes; Survived by several nieces and nephews. \nWORK EXPERIENCE:\nAfter his Honorable Discharge from the Army in 1972\, Michael continued his employment with the Watervliet Arsenal for over 20 years. \n  \nCOMMUNITY ACTIVITIES/ORGANIZATIONS:\nIn his spare time\, Michael enjoyed spending time hunting\, darts\, enjoyed playing a mean game of corks and the comradery with fellow members of CRAB Club\, Emerald Club\, Disabled American Veterans (DAV) and the American Legion. \nSadly\, on March 22\, 2005\, Michael passed away.

He was the son of the late Harold and Frances (Eschbach)Wilson\, and the brother of Miriam\, Dorothy\, Gertrude\, Harriet\, Harold\, and Peggy. \nKenneth grew up in Hudson\, New York and later moved to the city of Rensselaer and attended the Van Rensselaer High School from 1938 to 1941.  Kenneth then settled down in East Greenbush\, New York. \nHISTORY:\nIn 1942\, Kenneth enlisted in the United States Army and proudly served his country for three years achieving the rank of Corporal as a Heavy Machine Gunner\, during which time he was stationed in Naples-Foggia\, Rome-Arno\, Southern France.  Kenneth throughout his time of service had earned the European-African-Middle Eastern Service Medal\, Good Conduct Medal\, Purple Heart with Oak Leaf Cluster. \nPERSONAL:\nKenneth married his wife\, Mary (Cornell) on October 8\, 1949 in Rensselaer\, New York. Together they had three children: Karen\, Keith\, Diane; four grandchildren: Gregory\, Laura\, Zachary\, Alexandra. \nWORK EXPERIENCE:\nAfter his Honorable Discharge from the Army\, Kenneth was employed by the United States Postal Service. \nCOMMUNITY ACTIVITIES/ORGANIZATIONS:\nIn his spare time\, Kenneth enjoyed camping\, gardening and reading.  Kenneth also took time to coach baseball and softball for East Greenbush Little League\, East Greenbush Girls Softball League\, and East Greenbush Babe Ruth. \nSadly\, on November 30\, 1995\, Kenneth passed away and was laid to rest at New Rural Cemetery in East Greenbush\, New York.

DESCRIPTION:December 2024\nWarren J. Winne\, Sr. \nFAMILY HISTORY:\nWarren J. Winne\, Sr. was born on February 17\,1931 at the Brady Memorial Hospital in Albany\, New York. He was the son of the late Lyman and Gladys (Sanford) Winne\, and the brother of Franklin\, Eugene\, Eileen\, and Dorothy. \nWarren grew up in Delmar\, New York where he attended the Bethlehem Central School District then later moving to East Greenbush\, New York where he continued his education in the East Greenbush School District\, leaving school to serve his country at the age of 17. \nHISTORY:\nIn 1948\, Warren enlisted in the United States Army and proudly served his country from May 3\, 1948 until March 19\, 1952 as a Corporal. \nPERSONAL:\nWarren married his wife\, Mary A. (Rossello) Winne on September 21\, 1952 in Rensselaer\, New York at St. John’s Church. Together they had four children: Carol\, Sandra\, Colleen\, and Warren Jr: Grandchildren: Ashley\, CJ\, and Kristen as well as many great grandchildren. \nWORK EXPERIENCE:\nAfter his Honorable Discharge from the Army\, Warren was employed by Johns Manville Company as a pipe insulator and construction worker from 1952 until 1970. \nCOMMUNITY ACTIVITIES/ORGANIZATIONS:\nIn his spare time\, Warren enjoyed hunting\, fishing\, member of the Asbestos Union No. 40\, volunteer Fireman with Clinton Heights Fire Department\, member of Melvin Roads American Legion Post 1231\, (where in 1962 he received a membership award for 10 years of service)\, volunteer for the East Greenbush Girls Softball organization as an Umpire and helped with field maintenance.  Where later the East Greenbush Girls Softball field was named and dedicated in his honor. \nSadly\, on May 17\, 1970\, Warren passed away and was laid to rest at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery\, Rensselaer\, New York.
