DESCRIPTION:Honoring Paul J. Hendrick\, held in the Legislative Chambers \nPAUL JOSEPH HENDRICK\, SR.\, 1950-2018\n FAMILY HISTORY:\nPaul Joseph Hendrick\, Sr. was born on January 26\, 1950 in Albany\, New York to the late Edward Charles Hendrick and Marjorie Antoinette (Bentz) Hendrick.  Paul was the brother of Michael Hendrick and Nancy Bellanger. \nEDUCATION:\nPaul attended Albany High School and received his High School Equivalent – GEDT from the Army. \n HISTORY:\nPaul enlisted in the United States Army on August 12\, 1968 in Albany\, New York.  He attended the United States Army Air Defense School in Fort Bliss\, Texas for AD Arty Automatic Weapons Repairman Training. Paul served in the Army G Battery\, 68th Artillery\, 15th Headquarters Detachment Group.  He was the recipient of the National Defense Service Medal\, Vietnam Service Medal W/5 Bronze Service Stars\, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal W/60 Device\, Army Commendation Medal W/”V” Device\, Army Commendation Medal (FOLC) and Good Conduct Medal- Expert- Rifle.  Paul was honorably discharged on August 11\, 1971. \n PERSONAL:\nOn August 24\, 1970\, Paul married his wife of 47 years\, Judith Lorraine (Loucks) Hendrick in First Circuit Court\, Honolulu\, Hawaii.  In addition to his wife\, Paul is survived by his children\, Lori (Shawn) Kolb and Paul (Heidi) Hendrick\, Jr.; his grandchildren\, Dylan and Ashley Kolb\, Brandon and Logan Hendrick; his sister-in-law\, Patty Hendrick; his nephew\, Michael Hendrick and his “adopted” son Donald Ramsey. \n WORK EXPERIENCE:\nPaul was a truck driver for Sunnyside Garage in Castleton\, New York. \n COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES/ORGANIZATIONS:\nPaul enjoyed camping\, driving\, fixing lawn mowers and working at truck pulls.
